Women’s Soccer Drops Important AMCC Match

GREENSBURG, PA - With only two AMCC matches remaining before the AMCC tournament, the Bobcats drop the first of two important conference matches 4-0 at Pitt-Greensburg. Frostburg State drops to 6-6-4 on the season and 3-2 in conference.

Frostburg State fell behind early as Melissa Wiggins scored two first half goals proving to be the game winners for Pitt-Greensburg. Wiggins also added two assists in the second half as she earned a point on every one of Pitt-Greensburg goals.

FSU was able to drive 26 shots toward goal, but goalkeeper Torey Auld was able to pull in 14 saves. Junior Stephanie Zych (Guilderland/Slingerlands, N.Y.) was able to make eight saves on 12 shots.

Frostburg State will next travel to Case Western Reserve this weekend in Cleveland, Ohio to face the Spartans at 1:00 p.m. before. FSU will return home to close out their AMCC schedule against Penn State Behrend Homecoming weekend, October 26, 2002 at 1:00 p.m.
