Women's Tennis Drops Match to Shenandoah

WINCHESTER, Va. — The Frostburg State women’s tennis team dropped a match to Shenandoah, 6-3, Wednesday afternoon.

FSU (4-7) got a solid performance out of junior Amy Brenneman (Grantsville, Md./Northern Garrett) and freshman Caroline Shedd (Middletown, Md./Middletown). Together they teamed up to down Lisa Almaraz and Amanda Blackman at No. 2 doubles, 8-5.

In singles action, junior Jenn Tolbert (Hagerstown, Md./North Hagerstown) was victorious in No. 2 singles , 6-2, 6-4, beating Oretha Grayson. Shedd captured the other Bobcat singles title, downing Jessica Coley in No. 3 singles, 3-6, 7-6, 7-6.

Frostburg State hosts Chatham on Sunday, September 24 at Noon.
