Women's Tennis Loses Conference Match to Penn State Altoona

ALTOONA, PA — The Frostburg State women’s tennis team fell to 1-14 on the season with a 6-3 loss to Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference opponent Penn State Altoona Wednesday afternoon.

Sophomore Jenn Tolbert (Hagerstown, Md./North Hagerstown) and freshman Reiden Dare (Upper Marlboro, Md./Oxon Hill) picked up a win at No. 1 doubles over Joanna Paul and Brianna Allianello with a score of 9-7.

At the No. 2 flight, senior Megan Close (Berkeley Springs, W.Va./Berkeley Springs) and freshman Alex Buchanon (Stockton, Md./Pocomoke) won 8-1 over Erica Eckman and Rachel Singer.

Dare earned a win at No. 1 singles with scores of 6-4 and 7-6 over Paul.

The Bobcats will host West Virginia Wesleyan for a non-conference match Sunday, October 9, beginning at 1:00 pm.
