Women's Tennis Loses to Penn State Behrend

FROSTBURG, MD — The Frostburg State women’s tennis team dropped a 9-0 match against Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference opponent Penn State Behrend Saturday morning.

The Bobcats fell to 0-10 on the season and 0-2 in the AMCC, while the Panthers improved to 8-2 overall and 3-0 in the conference.

In No. 1 doubles action, sophomore Jenn Tolbert (Hagerstown, Md./North Hagerstown) and freshman Reidon Dare (Potomac, Md./Winston Churchill) came the closest to a win with a score of 8-6 against Allison Mudrey and Susan Cooper.

Sophomore Megan Close (Berkeley Springs, W.Va./Berkeley Springs) came the closest to picking up a win against Amy Frizzell with scores of 6-1 and 6-0. at No. 6 singles.

The Bobcats return to action Wednesday, September 28 as they host AMCC opponent Penn State Altoona at 3:00 pm.
