Women's Tennis Loses to Waynesburg, 8-1

WAYNESBURG, PA — The Frostburg State women’s tennis team lost to host Waynesburg College, 8-1 on Tuesday afternoon.

Freshman Jenn Tolbert (Hagerstown, Md./North Hagerstown) won the Bobcats (0-6) only point of the day, as she won at No.2 singles. Tolbert beat Beth Conlon by the score of 7-5 and 6-3.

Tolbert almost gained another point for FSU where she teamed with Heidi Pigozzi (Finleyville, Pa./Thomas Jefferson) at No. 1 doubles losing a close 8-6 match.

Frostburg State returns to action Saturday when it travels to defending Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference champion Chatham College at 11:00 a.m.
