What is your favorite FSU memory?
So many great memories! It’s hard to choose, but biking the Great Allegheny Passage and C&O Canal, starting from my off-campus house in Frostburg and ending in Washington, D.C., is one of my top memories.

What do you hope to accomplish during your time as a board member?
Encourage alumni near and far to get back in touch with their alma mater.
Help identify and implement programs and events that will enhance the alumni experience.

  • Now: Certified financial planner and chartered retirement plans consultant

Favorite FSU memory:
I loved any time we had involvement with alumni. Seeing successful people who got their start at our school was such great encouragement and made me even prouder of my degree and confident to move on to the real world.

What do you hope to accomplish during your time as a board member?
I’d like to give back to FSU because I was awarded so many fantastic opportunities, and I would like to be able to help pave the way for future students to find success. I feel that small regional universities are grossly underestimated, and I’d like to see that change and help students and the community appreciate it more.

Recognized as the 2020 Outstanding Leader by the Allegany County Chamber of Commerce

Favorite FSU memory:

  • Being recognized as an Outstanding Leader by the College of Business.
  • Experiencing the snowstorm in October of 2011.
  • Working hours and hours in the library with my group, preparing for our policy presentation with Dr. (Amit) Shah. It was so inspiring to work with others, learn how other people work together and how the creativity of the group made us better as a whole.
What do you hope to accomplish during your time as a board member?
I would like to be able to "give back" either by volunteering, chairing an event, helping raise funds or networking.
