Daymé Arocena

SUNDAY, APRIL 29
Brunch at The Gin Mill at Noon
11 W. Main Street, Frostburg

Performance at 2:15 PM
Lyric Theatre, 20 E. Main Street, Frostburg

Help us celebrate spring in beautiful downtown Frostburg, Md.! Enjoy an optional brunch at The Gin Mill before joining us at the Lyric Theatre for a club-style performance with Cuban songbird Daymé Arocena. Arocena epitomizes the rich, diverse music of her homeland. Crediting Ella Fitzgerald as an influence, she blends classic soul with Cuban musical styles for a spellbinding, multilingual homage to her roots. Her debut release, Nueva Era, captured the attention of audiences and critics alike and was named by National Public Radio as one
of the best albums of 2015.

WFWM 91.9CES joins forces with Frostburg State University’s own WFWM-FM to present the Offstage Series With WFWM. After select performances, WFWM station director Chuck Dicken joins the artists onstage for a lively interactive discussion with the audience.
