How to Join a Fraternity and Sorority Organization

Joining a Greek organization is a great way to get involved on campus, grow your leadership skills, and make lifelong memories with new lifelong friendships.

Being part of a Greek organization is for students committed to being held at a higher standard, which includes academics, community involvement, upholding the Frostburg State University values throughout their daily activities.

To be eligible to join a Fraternity and Sorority organization, students must meet the following requirements:

  • All applicants must be full-time (12+ credit hours) FSU registered students.
  • First-year students must have a 2.7 high school transcript cumulative GPA.
  • Transfer students must have completed a minimum of 12 credit hours as a full-time student at FSU or another accredited college or university during the previous semester.
  • Current students must have a cumulative semester GPA of 2.5 or higher and 12 completed credit hours. Some organizations require higher than a 2.5 GPA.
