How to Join a Fraternity and Sorority Organization

In order to be eligible to join a Fraternity and Sorority organization, students must meet the following requirements:

  • Transfer students must have completed a minimum of 12 credit hours as a full-time student at FSU or another accredited college or university during the previous semester.
  • Current students must be a full-time (12+ credit hours) registered FSU student and have a cumulative semester GPA of 2.5 or higher. Some organizations require higher than a 2.5 GPA.
  • Beginning Fall 2019, FSU has entered into a 3-year pilot program where first-year students may join a fraternity or sorority. A 2.7 high school GPA is required. To learn more about the approved chapters participating in the Fall 2019 Program:
