January 7-15, 2023
(exact dates are subject to change though will be during this timeframe)

Interest Sessions (optional but encouraged):

Tuesday, September 13 from 7-8 pm Lane 108

Are you ready to take advantage of your break? Are you excited to get off the beaten path and see a city from the view of those that live there? Be a part of something bigger than yourself! Alternative Breaks are fully immersive and highly organized service trips for students and young adults that allow them to make a direct impact in a community while learning more deeply about the issues surrounding that community and the larger world.

Many Houma residents are still living in houses that are unsafe after the Hurricane destroyed the area in 2021. Typically, the out-of-pocket cost of the trip for each student ranges between $100 and $250 depending on funding.

Apply here. Applications are due no later than Sunday, September 25 at 11:59 pm. To request a paper application, email
