Emily Watt '25
For the past six years, Frostburg State alumna Emily Watt ’25 has taken on one of the nation's most iconic open-water swimming challenges: crossing the waters of San Francisco Bay from Alcatraz Island and swimming beneath the Golden Gate Bridge.
Brianna Hopkins '16
Brianna Hopkins '16, assistant principal at Deep Creek Elementary School, was named Baltimore County Public Schools' Elementary School Assistant Principal of the Year and was selected as a finalist for the district's overall 2026-2027 Assistant Principal of the Year award.
Shawn Eastman '95
Shawn Eastman '95 was appointed the new City of Gaithersburg Chief of Police on March 2, 2026, and he officially began his duties on March 7.
Capt. Christopher Glass '84
Capt. Christopher Glass '84, Sr., USN (Ret.), has been named President of The Institute of World Politics after serving the institution with distinction for the past nine years.

Sabrina Upole '20 was featured in PR Daily for her work building the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center's influencer marketing program.
Eric Gontrum '16
Eric Gontrum '16 recently released a new original song, "Rearranging My Room," under the artist name Eric Will. It is avaliable on all major streaming platforms.
