Ralph Perrey '79, executive director of the Tennessee Housing Development Agency, will assume the role of chair of the National Housing Conference Board of Governors.

Jennifer Bugg Hendershot '80/'83 was inducted into the Bishop Walsh Hall of Distinction. She was recognized for her dedication, leadership and unwavering commitment to the mission of Bishop Walsh School. She is a retired high school English teacher.
Captain Christopher Glass '84 was promoted to president of The Institute of World Politics. In his new role, Captain Glass will have overall responsibility for growing IWP’s student enrollment across all current and future degree and graduate certificate programs and expanding IWP’s footprint across U.S. government agencies.
COL Jeffrey J.D'Antonio '86, USA, Ret. recently retired after 45 years working for the Department of War in and out of uniform. His last position was as deputy director, Global Force Management at Special Operations Command Pacific at Camp Smith, HI.

Shawn Eastman '95 has been named Gaithersburg Chief of Police. Sean told Alumni relations, “Frostburg provided me with a high-quality education, strong relationships and experiences that shaped my leadership and commitment to service – principles that remain at the core of my life and career.”
Dr. Juls Gilliam '90 has been promoted to associate IT professor at Northern Virginia Community College.
Julie Skruch Trikilis '95 and her husband John Trikilis have started a travel agency. You can find their services at www.trikilistravelexperience.com.

Jason E. VanSickle '98 was named the managing director of specialized banking at First United Bank & Trust. He joined First United in 2017 and has held a variety of leadership roles throughout the organization, most recently serving as managing director of support services.

Elaine J. Davis '99/M'02 was named Allegany County Public Schools Teacher of the Year 2026. She has taught for ACPS since 2018 and is an eighth-grade science teacher at Mount Savage School.

April Tichnell Fleming '99/M'06 has been named Garrett County Public Schools 2026-2027 Teacher of the Year. She began teaching in GCPS in 1999 and is a tenth-grade English teacher at Northern Garrett High School. She has held various positions, including English teacher, instructional coach, mentor teacher, yearbook advisor, National Honor Society advisor and department chairperson.

Timi Scaletta Hadra '99 retired from IBM at the beginning of 2026. She worked at IBM (formerly ATK, IMC and NISC) for 24 years.

Rizwan A. Jan '00 was selected as Top Transformational Leader 2026 by The International Association of Top Professionals for his outstanding leadership, dedication and commitment to the industry. He currently serves as Vice President and Chief Information Officer at CAN Corporation.

Christine Amyot Hurley '02/M'04 was awarded the 2026 Betty Roemmelmeyer Advocate Award. This award is given to a teacher, librarian or other advocate who exhibits a love of children's literature and strives to share it with others. She is the library media specialist at Boonsboro Middle School.
Michelle Ingrodi '02 has joined Ticketmaster as a recruiting partner and has been named to the Ticketmaster Ambassador flagship program.

Derek Kirk ’01 has joined BNY as Vice President, Infrastructure Engineerying, at their Washington, D.C. office. In addititon, he has been a freelance broadcast and production technician with the Washington Commanders and University of Maryland athletics for 23 seasons.
Dr. Mike Mosier '02 achieved National Board Teacher Certification in December 2025.

Rev. Larin E. S. Walker, Jr. '05 attained a Master of Arts in Teaching from Morgan State University. On May 27, 2026, he and his wife, Jamea Walker, were voted to serve as interim pastor and first lady of Friendship Baptist Church, in Baltimore, Md.
Julia Schaffer McCall '08 currently works at the director of programming at Christiana Homeschool Academy, teaching 7th and 8th grade history. She also runs a local student theatre troupe. Julia continues to perform on stage appearing in Players on Air, Inc. and in past performances of "A Christmas Carol" and "Jesus Christ Superstar." She has two children with her husband, Hugh, who was awarded the Bronze Star in 2025.

Karissa Fitzgerald Brandenburg '15/M'18 earned her National Board Certification in December 2025. She is a teacher at Braddock Middle School.
Eric Gontrum '16 recently released a new original song, "Rearranging My Room", under the artist name Eric Will. This is his second professionally recorded single and it is available on all major streaming platforms. The song blends elements of pop, folk, indie, easy listening and adult contemporary.

Brianna Hopkins '16 was recognized as the Elementary Assistant Principal of the Year for Baltimore County Public Schools. She is the assistant principal at Deep Creek Elementary School.

Dr. Zachary Keeler ’16 was awarded the Jerry S. Rawls Undergraduate Educator Award by Texas Tech University. Zach is an assistant professor of practice at TTU.

Kaitlyn Green ’25 has accepted the position of assistant acrobatics and tumbling coach at Kutztown University.

Allison Paul '20 was named Law Clerk of the Year by the Maryland Office of the Attorney General.

Sabrina Upole '20 was featured in PR Daily for her work building the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center’s influencer marketing program. She works as a digital strategy and influencer marketing campaign manager for UPMC.
