Frostburg State University recognized three faculty and staff members for their exceptional dedication to students and campus life during its annual Leadership and Engagement Awards program.

The awards celebrate undergraduate and graduate students, student organizations, faculty and staff who promote leadership, community building, involvement, service and co-curricular excellence, while enhancing the overall student experience at FSU.

Jamie Winters '92/M'01 received the Outstanding Student Organization Advisor Award, which recognizes a faculty or staff member who volunteers their time to advise a recognized student organization and provides extraordinary support beyond their regular responsibilities.

Shawn Jones was named the recipient of the Outstanding Faculty/Staff Award for demonstrating exceptional service to students, departmental support and a commitment to going above and beyond his job description to positively impact the campus community.

Chaplain Elijah Ferebee received the Dr. Mary Mumper Service Award, which honors individuals who have provided multiple years of dedicated service to one or more FSU student organizations and exemplify a positive Bobcat spirit. The award was established in 2013 by students and colleagues of Dr. Mary Mumper in recognition of her extraordinary commitment to Frostburg State University and her many years of advising student organizations.

Through their leadership, mentorship and service, these recipients embody the values of Frostburg State University and have made a lasting impact on the Bobcat community.
