Bosley Named Coach in McDonald’s All American Games
Southern Garrett Boys’ Basketball Head Coach Tom Bosley ’76/M’02 was named as one of four coaches for the McDonald’s All American Games, high school basketball’s biggest stage, played in March in Chicago. He led the Boys East team to a 105-81 victory.
Each year, four legendary coaches from various regions of the country are selected to coach 48 top basketball athletes from all over the country. Bosley’s coaching career boasts a 412-201 record, stretching across 45 years.
“The game has been good to me,” he said. “I’m forever indebted to those who have helped me, including players past and present.”
Bosley was permitted to choose his own assistant coaches for the team; he chose Matt Redinger ’97 and Cory Bosley, two assistant coaches from his own team.
“He is a lifelong educator who teaches our young people far more than the game of basketball,” said Garrett County Superintendent Barbara Baker M’95.
