Pannoni Receives National Honor

Gerry Pannoni ’78 was one of 23 high school coaches to be selected as 2020 National Coaches of the Year by the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) Coaches Association.

Pannoni was honored for his work as football head coach at South County High School in Lorton, Va. He has since taken a similar position at Rio Rancho High School in Rio Rancho, N.M. He was the only football coach honored by the NFHS.

Over nine seasons, Pannoni led South County to an overall 84-31 record with a 74 percent winning percentage, according to recruitNoVA.
