New Foundation Board Members
The FSU Foundation, Inc., recently welcomed three new members to its Board of Directors.

Rose Fagler ’83
Rose Fagler ’83 is responsible for economic and business development for Weyerhaeuser’s real estate developments, on the portfolio level. Weyerhaeuser is the world’s largest private owners of timberlands, and one of the largest wood products manufacturers in the U.S. Fagler supports development projects in the U.S. and Canada. With more than 37 years of experience, her background includes strategic market and brand positioning, partner team development, strategic public engagement, branding, advertising and incentives. Fagler served on the Progress Energy team responsible for siting a nuclear energy campus and 200 miles of new baseload transmission lines, as well as worked with the University of Florida Foundation to launch the UF Water Institute. She received the 2005 Beacon Award for Excellence in renewable energy marketing from the Center of Resource Solutions, the U.S. Department of Energy and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for work with Gainesville Regional Utilities. At Weyerhaeuser, she is a member of the Sustainability 3 by 30 Goals Rural Communities team, Empowering Women of Weyerhaeuser and the innovation team, and she leads communications for the Corporate Development business unit. Fagler launched the Strong Women Network to provide peer-to-peer mentoring and coaching for women in business leadership roles.
Leslie Ludwig ’83
Leslie Ludwig ’83 is co-founder of L&L Advisors, a commercial real estate consulting firm. She is a retired partner from JBG Smith (previously The JBG Companies), where she oversaw finance, accounting and other corporate functions and was chair of the Management Committee. In 2012, Ludwig founded the JBG Women’s Initiative, where she established and implemented a roadmap for the company to become a recognized leader for gender diversity in the commercial real estate industry. Ludwig is on the board of directors at Eagle Bank and chair of the Compensation Committee. She is vice president for the David H. and Suzanne D. Hillman Family Foundation. She was previously a member of CREW, on the Investment Committee for the National Multifamily Housing Corp. and a member of the Advisory Board for the undergraduate commercial real estate program at Virginia Tech.

Dr. Benjamin Norris ’04
Dr. Benjamin Norris ’04 graduated from Frostburg State University with a bachelor’s in chemistry. As a student at Frostburg, Norris received the prestigious Regent’s Scholarship. Norris returned as a member of the faculty at his alma mater, achieving the rank of associate professor. Norris served as Chair of the Faculty from 2017-2021 and was active in faculty governance. He served as one of two institutional liaisons for the national Excellence in Academic Advising project. He advised FSU’s nationally recognized American Chemical Society student chapter for eight years and coordinated FSU’s STEM Scholars Academic Residential Community for five years. He won the FSU Faculty Achievement Award for University and Community Service. Norris currently serves as FSU’s interim associate provost. He also continues to teach courses in medicinal chemistry and biostatistics, and he maintains an advising caseload. His research interests include sustainable chemistry and academic advising as a vehicle for change. Professionally, Norris is active in NACADA: The Global Community for Academic Advising. He was recently selected for the 2022-2024 class of NACADA Emerging Leaders. Norris comes from a family of FSU alumni, including his parents, his wife and her parents.
