"Thoughts of a Colored Man" Comes Home

“Thoughts of a Colored Man,” the critically acclaimed play by alum Keenan Scott II ’09, will return to FSU this April, after its 2021 Broadway debut. Performances are scheduled for April 14, 15, 20, 21 and 22. Scott, who wrote the play while he was a student at FSU, will return to campus to direct the production.

Described as vulnerable, vibrant, raw and live, the play centers on the lives of seven contemporary Black men who reside in one Brooklyn neighborhood and explores the men’s lives, pressures, passions, challenges and triumphs.
