"Most Fascinating" Bobcats

“Allegany Magazine has been around for nearly 20 years and since 2006, we have been publishing an annual Fascinating People issue,” said Shane Riggs, the magazine’s managing editor. “It always tickles me when students and former students of Frostburg State University are nominated by our readers to be included. That only speaks to the caliber of character of the student body of FSU.”

This year’s list included Bobcats Andrea Beall ’15, Dave Buskirk ’09/M’12, Scott Cutter ’03, Tyler Dixon ’23, Nicole Halmos M’13, Aurora Mahoney (current student), Jo Ann Peterson M’06, Rick Rando ’00,  Zach Shattuck ’18 and Rae Ann Smith ’96.

“We have in our area a university that produces astronauts, actors, scientists, elected officials and filmmakers.  Since Allegany Magazine is a publication that highlights the positive, I am always pleased to share stories of fascinating alums of FSU and their contributions not just in giving back to the community but in what they give to the world,” Riggs said.
