    Bob and Ruth Hoch

    Bob Hoch '72 and his wife, Ruth Randall Hoch '73, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married in Cook Chapel on May 11, 1973.

     

    In October of 2022, Ralph M. Perrey '79 was elected to the Board of Directors of the National Council of State Housing Agencies in Washington, D.C. Perrey was selected to serve as chair of the council, after serving as the council's secretary. He also holds the position of executive director of the Tennessee Housing Development Agency.

    After 33 years working in higher education, Carol A. Trohan Harrison '89 has accepted a new position with Ellucian as a senior colleague consultant. She is also the recipient of the Janie Barnett Distinguished Service Award, which recognizes an active or retired American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO) member for exceptional contributions over an extended period of time for service to AACRAO at the national level.

    David Ruth

    Dr. David A. Ruth '90 became the fifth president of Northampton Community College in Bethlehem, Pa., in July 2022. He had served as the vice president and chief of staff since 2016. Ruth is a member of the Board of Directors of the Bethlehem Chamber of Commerce and sits on the board of the Pennsylvania Commission for Community Colleges. 

     

    Dr. Rae Ann Smith

    Dr. Rae Ann Smith '93/M'04 received the Allegany College of Maryland Distinguished Alumni Award. Smith is a professor at Bay Path College in Longmeadow, Mass., where she teaches in the post-professional occupational therapy doctoral program. 

     

    Kristi Smith

    Kristi J. Nicholson Smith '95/M'98 started a position at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va., in January of 2023. She is an associate professor of computational sciences. 

     

    Stephanie Babin

    Stephanie L. Babin '98 was promoted to senior vice president of Billing Strategy and Design at Charter Communications, Inc., in Stamford, Conn. She will help lead the creation of a converged customer ordering platform for Charter's cable and mobile products. 

     

    Jamie Myers

    Jamie M. Myers '98 recently joined the Clearview Group in Owings Mills, Md., as a business development manager. Previously he was with Renegade Communications in Hunt Valley, Md.

    Annie Macey Houghton

    Annie M. Macey Houghton '01/M''03 was named Severna Park High School's Girls Varsity Lacrosse coach. During her time at Frostburg, Houghton was a two-time captain and two-time Academic All-American on the Women's Lacrosse team. 

     

     

    Jessica E. Kuester '04 has joined IslerDare in Vienna, Va., as counsel in the Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Group. She was previously with Ogletree Deakins in Pittsburgh for eight years. 

     

    Shauna McQuade

    Shauna N. Lewis McQuade M'04 received the League Excellence Award from the League for Innovation in the Community College. She joined Allegany College of Maryland in 2002 and is the director of Public Relations and Marketing. She is known for. her leadership, commitment to students and the student experience, and dedication to the college. 

     

     

    Jill Fradiska

    Jillian Snyder Fradiska '05/M'07 received the 2022 Jaycees Outstanding Young Professional Award at the Allegany County Chamber's Annual Outstanding Business Recognition Reception. Fradiska is a field financial administrator for UNICOR at FCI Cumberland, co-founder of the Children's Adaptive Sports League, treasurer of the Cash Valley Elementary School PTA and the chairperson of the Special Education Citizen's Advisory Committee.

    Alex Haslacker

    Alex L. Haslacker '10 was promoted to lieutenant with the Baltimore City Fire Department in February 2023.

    Jen Gover Haslacker '11 is now the sales director of Host Agencies Partnerships with Arch RoamRight.

     

     

    Mary Biscoe-Hall

    Mary C. Biscoe-Hall, Esq. '12 was recently promoted to partner at Nelson, Mullins, Riley & Scarborough. Biscoe-Hall is the vice president of the FSU Alumni Association Board of Directors and a member of the FSU Foundation, Inc., Board of Directors. 

     

     

    Travis J. Hitchins '12 was selected as the new financial aid director at FSU in February of 2023. He has been an employee at the University since 2007.

     

    Sandrine Akindo

    Sandrine Wihkokong Akindo '15 was named one of Delta Zeta's 35 under 35 honorees for 2022. Honorees are chosen because of their success in their industry, demonstrated leadership and dedication, and serve as role models for their peers. She works as a human resource operations/project manager at PepsiCo., Inc. 

     

     

    Desiree Patrick

    Desiree L. Patrick ’15 has assumed the position of community relations director for Harnett County, N.C. She will manage the county’s Public Information Office, overseeing the communications, marketing and community relations efforts between the county and its residents.

     

    Brad Johnson

    Brad J. Johnson M’17 was recently named the head Men’s Basketball coach at Bethany College in Bethany, W.Va. Prior to Bethany, he held positions with Nebraska Wesleyan in Lincoln, Neb., Seton Hill in Greensburg, Pa., and Frostburg State University.

     

    Steven Glasbrenner

    Steven N. Glasbrenner ’18 has been named partner at Hamm & Glasbrenner CPAs in Cumberland, Md. He is a member of the FSU Alumni Association Board of Directors.

     

    Nicole Leighty Kirk

    Nicole C. Leighty Kirk ’18/M’20 started a new position with USA Fencing in Colorado Springs, Colo., as the communications coordinator. She previously worked with the University of Notre Dame in Notre Dame, Ind., as an assistant of athletic communications.
