Quality Assurance System
Rationale
A robust quality assurance system ensures continuous improvement by relying on a variety of measures, establishing performance benchmarks for those measures (with reference to external standards where possible), seeking the views of all relevant stakeholders, sharing evidence widely with both internal and external audiences, and using results to improve policies and practices in consultation with partners and stakeholders.
(CAEP, 2016)
Assessment is an ongoing and ever changing process for collection, analysis (data review process), and use of data by the programs and the Educator Preparation Provider. Our defined goals across all initial licensure programs are the InTASC Standards. Across our Advanced Programs, we align to the six proficiencies bulleted within CAEP Standard A.1. Common assessments which include elements of diversity and technology have been developed in collaboration with all stakeholders. A common technology platform, Taskstream, is in use across all programs. Data is shared at many levels of engagement for thorough analysis and continuous improvement.
