Are you looking for a deeper, logical understanding of the wild and wacky world of mathematics? If you really want to expand your knowledge and skills, whether theoretical or applied, you need to know how to reason mathematically, by taking Math 315 (Foundations of Mathematics), Math 440 (Modern Geometry), Math 491 (Seminar in Mathematics), and more!

In 315 with Dr Katie Horacek, you’ll put down the building blocks of rigorous math logic and even play with actual blocks to learn induction, all while collaborating and communicating with fellow students! In 440 with Dr Rob Forsythe, you’ll go to Euclidean geometry and beyond, exploring and sharing with peers the consequences of different types of parallel lines going all the way into hyperbolic and ellipticals! In 491 with Dr Mark Hughes, you’ll put a cap onto your mathematical education, relating your previous coursework and exploring a personal project of your own choosing!
