Cumberland Whitewater Park, GAP Trail, and the Narrows

Outdoor Recreation

In the Cumberland area, the outdoor recreation focus is divided into three areas. These are the Cumberland Whitewater Park, the GAP trail and the Narrows.

This site links to three pages representing each of the topic areas.

Cumberland Whitewater Park - The Cumberland whitewater park focuses on Canal Place, the Potomac River in the Cumberland area, and Wills Creek. Also, this section includes a review of whitewater parks across the country.

Greater Allegany Passage (GAP) Trail - This section focuses on the entire GAP trail including the section in Cumberland. Although it is mainly a photo gallery, it also includes past commentaries in the newspaper.

Narrows - This is a new section with a focus on climbing in the Narrows.
