Universal COVID Testing at FSU on Sept 21-23, 2020
Sep 11, 2020 3:00 PM
FSU will be conducting our second round of universal testing of students, faculty and staff on Sept. 21-23, 2020. Testing is required for ALL students, faculty and staff at the Frostburg campus — with the exception of those students entirely online and not on-campus, any employee not coming to campus for the entire semester, or individuals who have previously tested positive for COVID-19 since July 1 and have documented their case with Brady Health Center or Human Resources.
This universal population-level testing, in addition to the ongoing surveillance testing, is consistent with guidance from the University System of Maryland. (If you are selected for surveillance testing, you are NOT exempt from universal testing. You must participate in both.) These tests are free of charge.
Watch your FSU email next week for a message from FSU COVID Testing <info@baseline.mail.campuslabs.com> with information and a link to sign up for a day and time slot and additional details.
As with the testing in August, this round of universal testing will take place in the Cordts PE Center. We will need assistance from the campus community to staff the event. FSU Athletics is stepping up to help on the morning of all three days. If you are willing to assist in the afternoons (the 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. shift), please contact Dr. Jeff Graham at jlgraham@frostburg.edu.
Both the universal testing and surveillance testing are for non-symptomatic individuals. Symptomatic testing is conducted by the Brady Health Center for students and by individual healthcare providers for employees.
