“Coach” Babcock taught and coached at Frostburg State University for over 20 years. While here, he coached many sports including soccer and basketball. He was elected as the fourth entrant to the Bobcat Hall of Fame and was an active member of the Frostburg community. He was one of the founding fathers of the Jewish, Catholic and Protestant “JCP” Youth Soccer league that continues today. He coached the Frostburg Rangers for many years in the league. Coach Babcock participated in the Senior Citizens Olympics at the local, state and national levels.
In addition to FSU he also taught in Howard County and at Allegany Community College.
