Campus and Community,

I want to condemn the racist remarks made last evening. Hurtful, abusive, and racist language does not belong in our community. I implore each of you to understand the words you say and the effects they have.

We are currently in a student government election cycle, and it is important that we respect each other and share ideas in meaningful and positive ways. If you have suggestions or concerns, you can reach out to sga@frostburg.edu or the Office of Community Involvement.

We continue to look into this matter and will take any and all appropriate action. Any member of our university community in need of support can to reach out to Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS), the University Council on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (UCDEI) or Student Affairs. Students can also report an incident here.
