On March 28th students from FSEA (Frostburg Student Education Association) at FSU participated in Project Cover Up. This is an altruistic community-based project that provides fleece blankets to underserved and underprivileged elementary school children. This year Flintstone elementary school was selected as the school where the students would receive the blankets. FSEA officers and club advisor Dr. Sarah O'Neal worked with the school principal at Flintstone to identify children in need of the blankets. The blanket fleece fabric kits were sponsored by educational professions faculty and administrators. In total nine blankets were sponsored and created. FSEA donated a teddy bear to accompany each blanket. The blankets were delivered and presented to children at Flintstone elementary on April 4, 2023.
FSEA Officers extend a special “thank you” to the generous faculty members who sponsored the blanket kits, without which this would not have been possible.
