Crystal R. Frizzell Whitten

Crystal Reanae Frizzell-Whitten graduated from Frostburg State University in May 1993 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in elementary education. She died on July 12, 1993, at the age of 23, and only one month after her marriage to Jonathan Whitten. From the time she was a little girl playing school at the baby sitters, Crystal knew she wanted to be a teacher. She had a great love for children's books and of teaching. Crystal was excited about beginning her career as a teacher, and was interested in teaching children with special needs.

Crystal was a member of Alpha Zi Delta and a cheerleader for four years. Even though Crystal was on this earth for a short period of time, she left a mark on the many friends and classmates from Frostburg State University, the professors that taught her and the students and associates at Wiley Ford Elementary School where she completed her student teaching internships.
