A message from the Contributors

Genevieve Yantz House, a life-long resident of Mt. Savage, MD., graduated from Frostburg Normal School in 1927. She earned her Bachelor's Degree from University of Maryland, completed graduate classes at Johns Hopkins University, and received her Master's Degree from Penn State University, State College, PA.

Genevieve taught elementary school at Dutch Hollow, Corriganville, Mt. Savage, and Parkside before retiring from Northeast Elementary School, Cumberland.

Jenny loved teaching, enjoyed her home, liked to read, and was active in her church. Her two daughters graduated from Western Maryland (now McDaniel) and also became teachers.
