A message from the Contributors
The Rev. Kevin Walter Brooksbank was a 1994 FSU graduate in computer science and a member of the men’s soccer team for four years. A converted forward, Kevin was a three year starter as a defender and twice earned the Gilbert Gray Memorial Award for "exceptional work ethic on the field, an outstanding attitude toward his teammates, and a determined overall desire to play to the best of his abilities and have fun while doing it." Kevin attended many alumni matches in subsequent years and is fondly remembered for playing his guitar and leading sing-alongs at gatherings following the matches.
Father Kevin entered the priesthood, earning a Master of Divinity degree from St. Mary’s Seminary and University and ordained in 2001. He was an associate pastor at a Loch Raven Village Roman Catholic parish when he passed away.
