What is Bobcat Giving Day?
Frostburg State University’s Bobcat Giving Day is a 24-hour online fundraising event from noon on April 1 through noon on April 2. It’s 24 hours to bring the Frostburg State community together. Alumni, students, parents, faculty, staff, and Bobcat fans all over the world come together to make a difference for Frostburg State University!

Why is Bobcat Giving Day different from any other day?
We value your generosity all year long, but there are some special reasons to make your gift on Bobcat Giving Day! Thanks to some amazing donors, FSU will be able to offer several one-time challenge gifts that make every gift that much more important.

Why should I give?
Every donation helps important programs at FSU. Participation shows that you believe in FSU and the different programs it offers. Your participation encourages the participation of others.

How do I make my gift?
Gifts made from noon EST on April 1 through noon EST on April 2 count towards Giving Day totals. Other accepted methods of giving will count towards Giving Day if intent is documented (reply envelope, check memo, commitment form, etc.).

Can I mail in a gift?
You are more than welcome to mail in your gift, but due to the short timeframe, only gifts received in the mail by noon on April 2 will count towards Bobcat Giving Day challenges. Make your check payable to FSU Foundation and write “Giving Day” and the fund you would like to support on the memo line. Then mail it to FSU Foundation, 101 Braddock Road, Frostburg, MD 21532.

I've already made a gift this year to FSU. Will that count towards Bobcat Giving Day?
Due to the nature of Bobcat Giving Day, gifts made from noon EST on April 1 through noon EST on April 2 count towards Giving Day totals. Other accepted methods of giving will count towards Giving Day if intent is documented (Giving Day website, reply envelope, check memo, commitment form, etc.).

Will my monthly recurring gift to FSU be counted towards Bobcat Giving Day?
Due to the nature of Bobcat Giving Day, previously scheduled recurring gifts will not count towards the Bobcat Giving Day total. However, any new recurring gifts started on Bobcat Giving Day will count.

Can I specify what my gift supports?
Yes! You can designate your gift to support any of the FSU Foundation funds supporting departments, scholarships and programs.

What fees do you charge for online giving?
None. 100% of your gift goes directly into the fund of your choice.

What are the five categories of funds eligible for prizes?
1) Athletics; 2) College of Arts, Humanities, and Social & Behavioral Sciences (CAHSBS); 3) College of Business, Engineering, and Computational & Mathematical Sciences (CBECMS); 4) College of Education and Health & Natural Sciences (CEHNS); 5) Other University Initiatives

If I give five times to the same fund, am I counted as a donor once or five times?
A donor is counted only once per fund, no matter how many times they give on Bobcat Giving Day.

Is my payment secure?
Yes! All online gifts are processed through GiveCampus. GiveCampus does not store or save your credit card information. This sensitive data is handled exclusively by a PCI-compliant payment processor.

Is my gift tax-deductible? When will I receive my tax receipt?
Yes. Your gift is eligible for a tax deduction in accordance with IRS regulations during the calendar year that you make your gift. Consult your tax professional for more information. You will receive by email a receipt for tax purposes within minutes of making your gift online. If you mailed a gift, we will mail a receipt back to you within days of our acceptance of your gift.

How can I help spread the word?
