Graduate Student Association
Mission Statement
The mission of the Graduate Student Association at Frostburg State University is to advocate for the interests of graduate students, meet their needs with accessibility and support, and enhance the overall graduate student experience by fostering community, engagement, and positive impact across campus.
Vision Statement
The vision of the Graduate Student Association at Frostburg State University is to create a vibrant, inclusive, and empowering graduate student life—one that fosters connection, supports success, and enhances the overall experience of every graduate student.
History
Students over the years have worked to create a functioning Graduate Student Association to represent the constituent of graduate students on Frostburg’s campus. In January of 2024, Erin Geibel and Sonja Barber with the support of advisors, Dr. Artie Travis and Dr. Sharman Adams, established a strong foundation for future graduate students associated with the GSA to build on.
Funding
The GSA is funded by a student fee of $5/credit for on-campus students. Students not based on Frostburg’s campus are encouraged to opt into the fee. Please email billingoffice@frostburg.edu from your Frostburg email to opt into the GSA fee.
