kim hinds-brushAt the 2024 Frostburg State University Leadership and Engagement Awards celebration held on May 2, Kim Hinds-Brush, FSU’s director of Residence Life and advisor for the Mu Omicron chapter of Phi Mu Delta Fraternity, was honored with the Outstanding Student Organization Advisor Award for support and contributions that go above and beyond her current duties as a staff member. The event was hosted by FSU’s Office of Student Engagement.

Hinds-Brush was presented her award by Lisa Clark, director of the ASTAR AmeriCorps Program. A member of Phi Mu Delta nominated Hinds-Brush and stated, “She has done so much for the chapter, from making sure our grades are good to caring about our well-being to just having fun with us. It is safe to say that every member feels that Kim has gone above and beyond for the chapter and Greek life. We appreciate her and quite frankly don’t know what we’d do without her.”

Hinds-Brush volunteers her time to advise students in Phi Mu Delta. She has spent countless hours printing flyers or banners to advertise events, purchasing recruitment T-shirts, helping members meet deadlines and understand risk management and supporting the chapter plan and implement events.

“It is an honor to be nominated and to win this award,” said Hinds-Brush. “It has been a pleasure advising PMD and being a part of their college experience. They make being an advisor easy. 19”
