The Department of Theatre and Dance at Frostburg State University will host the sixth Mountain Maryland Theatre Festival (MMTF) on Friday, Jan. 24, and Saturday, Jan. 25, 2025, in FSU’s Woodward D. Pealer Performing Arts Center.
The 2025 MMTF weekend will engage courageous artists through new and exciting workshops, a keynote experience, an awards ceremony, dance, and new this year, a courageous artist showcase. One participant from 2024 recalled, “MMTF is truly one of the highlights of my every year and I am so grateful it exists.”
MMTF promotes and supports regional performing arts programs by creating development and networking opportunities for young artists and their teachers. MMTF is open to kids in grades 6 through 12. In 2024, artists from 20 regional schools and programs attended the festival.
The cost of the festival is $50 and includes meals and refreshments on Friday and Saturday. All registered attendees will receive a festival T-shirt.
