Students Encouraged to Complete FAFSA, FSU Foundation Scholarship Application by March 1 Priority Deadline

Frostburg State University is encouraging students to complete and submit their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as well as the FSU Foundation Scholarship application (https://frostburg.academicworks.com) by the Maryland priority deadline of March 1 to maximize their eligibility for financial aid.
Even if prior applications were not awarded, students should still take the time to complete both applications again this year. Doing so can open doors and unlock vital financial resources to make attending college a reality.
According to Travis Hitchins, FSU’s Director of Financial Aid, “Students can continue to submit their FAFSA and scholarship application after the March 1 priority deadline, but doing so will significantly reduce the likelihood of receiving state, institutional and foundation awards.”

FSU students and families should monitor FSU email accounts and Federal Student Aid accounts for updates. FSU’s Financial Aid Office, located in Pullen Hall, is open Mon. through Fri. from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Students and families with financial aid questions can call the office at 301-687-4301 or email fsufinaid@frostburg.edu.
