Outstanding FSU Business Students Recognized at Chamber Awards Breakfast

Six Frostburg State University students were recognized at the Allegany County Chamber of Commerce 2025 Outstanding Business Student Awards breakfast held on May 1. Ava Ebersole, Aaron Liang, Kristin Propst, Trey Hose, Keydy Cerrato and Nick Trey received accolades for their achievement in business courses at FSU.
Ebersole will graduate from FSU with a degree in accounting and a minor in business administration. She is active in several organizations on campus, including the Accounting Association and the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program. Ebersole plans to pursue an MBA and eventually obtain her CPA license.
Liang is a graduating senior majoring in business administration with a concentration in finance. He is a dedicated student and is described by his peers and finance faculty as “hand-working, pleasant, and responsible.” Liang is an active member in several organizations and is vice president of FSU’s chapter of Finance in the American Marketing Association.
Propst will graduate from FSU with a bachelor’s degree in economics with a minor in sustainability studies. She is incredibly involved with the campus events and is the vice president of the Economics Club.
At FSU, Hose is majoring in business administration with a concentration in general management and is the president of the FSU chapter of the American Marketing Association. After graduation, Hose plans to visit China for a second time and get his Project Management Professional certification and/or an MBA.
Cerrato is a senior business administration student at FSU concentrating on marketing. She is the vice president of the University’s chapter of the Communication for the American Marketing Association and a social media intern in the Center for International Education.
Finally, Trey is an MBA student concentrating on management at FSU. He serves as the treasurer of the Graduate Student Association and is a member of the University Advisory Council. After graduation, Trey will become an Equity Partner with Classic Remodeling, Inc. in Elliot City, Md. He intends to utilize his skills from the MBA program to reshape the trajectory of Classic Remodeling.
The 2025 Outstanding Business Student Awards recognizes selected high school and college students who major in business-related fields and exhibit leadership and meritorious service to their field, organizations and classes.
