Admissions Requirements and Application Process
The graduate program offers a Master's of Science degree in Recreation, Parks and Sport Management and is designed for professionals in the field who want to further their careers. Listed below are those items that you need to include in your application package.
Program Specific Entrance Requirements:
Completion of the baccalaureate degree at a regionally accredited institution of higher education with an undergraduate cumulative grade point average of a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Provisional status can be granted to students with less than a 3.0 GPA on a case-by-case basis. Students having completed 15 or more graduate credits may use their graduate GPA in lieu of the undergraduate GPA. In addition to the general admission requirements, students are required to meet the criteria listed below. If any deficiency courses are required, they will be assigned by the coordinator upon entry into the program.
Professional Experience
The program is designed for professionals with experience in the recreation, parks and sport management field. Level of interest and experience will be considered in the admission process and should be depicted by the candidates in their career goals statement.
Recommendations
Three letters of recommendation are required reflecting the student's professional and academic background.
Career Goals
The applicant needs to include a statement of career goals and how the master's degree program relates to these goals. Normally, this statement is no longer than one page, single spaced.
Resume
The applicant is required to submit a current resume or professional vita as part of the application package.
Official Transcript(s)
Students should submit an official sealed copy of all prior transcripts that contributed to the completion of the Baccalaureate as well as any graduate level coursework previously taken.

Students will need to complete the Graduate Program Online Application available through Graduate Programs.
Online Orientation
Students will participate in an online orientation prior to the start of the new cohort. Online orientations are conducted throughout the month of August.
