Amnesty Policy

dont let fear hold you back report it

As detailed within the Gender-Based Harassment and Violence Policy, Frostburg State University has an Amnesty Policy for Alcohol and Drug Possession and Consumption to encourage reporting of sexual violence.

Sometimes students may be reluctant to seek help after they or a friend experiences gender-based harassment, sexual violence, relationship violence, and/or stalking for fear of getting in trouble for alcohol and/or other drug possession or consumption. To encourage reporting, a student who reports such incidents will not face disciplinary action from the University for their alcohol and/or other drug use at or near the time of the incident.
