Debra Monk: Tony and Emmy Award Winner

 

Debra Monk ’73, winner of a Tony Award in Redwood Curtain and a Primetime Emmy in NYPD Blue, has recently starred in two major TV shows. In New Amsterdam, she plays Karen Brantley who is a powerful and sometimes ruthless chair of the hospital’s board. Meanwhile, on HBO’s The Gilded Age from the creator of Downton Abbey, she plays Mrs. Armstrong who is the maid of Agnes van Rhijn. Debra first stepped foot on stage at Frostburg and is still shining bright in the spotlight.
