Major General Robert L. Edmonson II, U.S. Army
Maj. Gen. Robert L. Edmunson II ’90 proves that big futures can start in small towns. As the 17th commander of the U.S. Army led global operations by using cybersecurity, surveillance and military readiness. At FSU, he studied business marketing, played football, participated in Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., and was commissioned as a second lieutenant from FSU’s ROTC program. Frostburg has influenced his professional life immensely by being the foundation of his advanced degrees and decorated services, including the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal and Defense Meritorious Service Medals.
