On November 11th, Theatre and Dance hosted an unveiling of The Polar Express set pieces designed by Warner Brothers and commissioned by Warner Brothers/Rail Events Inc. and the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad.

Scene Shop Foreman Aaron Bittner led theatre and dance students in painting, assembling and placing the large scenic pieces in record time. In total, the students put in 320 hours of painting over the course of ten days.

President Nowaczyk, Vice President Al Delia, Dean Hixon, Associate Deans Scott Fritz and Cindy Herzog, Frostburg Mayor Bob Flanagan, and members of the WMSR railroad were in attendance.

The North Pole scenic design will be displayed during the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad’s Polar Express train ride through the end of the holiday season.
