Larry Boggs - Alumnus of the Year, 2019

With over 45 years of experience in the financial services industry, today, Larry is the Managing Director and Investment Officer with Wells Fargo Advisors. He is a gifted professional who serves families and organizations that are busy with the management of their careers or businesses and other aspects of their lives. Whether the goal is to build additional wealth, protect earned income, leave a legacy, or a combination of all three goals, Larry takes the time to listen to his clients’ needs in order to create a comprehensive wealth management plan that would help them achieve their goals. 

Away from the office, he serves in a variety of roles to serve leading organizations in Maryland. Larry is the Chairman of the Investment Committee for the Endowment Fund and the Operating Fund for the University System of Maryland Foundation Board, a member of the Western Maryland Health Systems Foundation Board, and the Treasurer of The League that supports special-needs children. Recently, he was named one of the Best-In-State Advisors by Forbes Magazine1 in 2018 and Financial Times’ Top 400 Advisors in the U.S. both in 2016 and 2017. Larry was named Barron’s Top 100 Brokers in the U.S. in 2005 and 2006 and has been named one of Barron’s Best-In-State Advisors every year from 2007 to the present. His most recent honor includes the 2018 Allegany County Chamber of Commerce Community Service award. Larry is greatly involved in the autism community in support of a grandson who is autistic.

He and his wife, Debbie, have been married for over 40 years and have three daughters. He is fortunate to have two of them, Dagenais and Mirjhana, as part of his team at Wells Fargo Advisors. Larry also has three wonderful grandsons with whom he spends as much time as he can.

Larry earned his Masters degree in Business Administration from Frostburg State University in 1980.
