COB Faculty Present at Leadership Event Sponsored by Student Life

In November, The Office of Student Life hosted a trio of presentations under the banner “Unleash Your Inner Leader” with two of the three spots held by CoB faculty. Dr. Michael Monahan (MGMT Chair) engaged in an interactive session on Conflict Management. Attendees learned what it really is and how to deal with it. They were also able to discover their preferred conflict style. Perhaps most importantly, they learned that, while conflict is often a maligned word, some levels of conflict are necessary and beneficial to any endeavor. 

Professor Heidi Shadel (Lecturer, MGMT), who teaches the College’s signature Professional Development classes, presented the main tenets of basic professionalism to attendees. 

Both presentations were very well received by the participants.
