Hunan University of Technology and Business 2022 Graduates - group photoDespite the pandemic and China’s Covid control, Hunan University of Technology and Business (HUTB) had yet another successful graduating class! 121 students graduated from the joint FSU-HUTB program. Of them, 74 students graduated with both FSU and HUTB double degrees. Many students had job offers before they graduated, and they attributed their success to the excellent platform provided by the joint program. In his commencement speech, Mr. Tingxuan Tang sincerely expressed his appreciation for all the support and encouragement he received in the program and had special words of gratitude for Dr. Daniel Mizak (Professor Emeritus in Economics) and Dr. Menahem Prywes (Adjunct Instructor in Economics). “My ultimate goal in the joint program was to pursue graduate study abroad. Dr. Mizak and Dr. Prywes gave me a lot of encouragement and wrote recommendation letters to several different universities for me. All of their help was critical for me to move forward, and it allows me to keep my courage during the time of the pandemic and work toward a brighter future.”

Ninety-two percent of the 2022 graduating class was either hired by reputable employers such as banks or government agencies or admitted to reputable graduate programs. Some of the employers are major national banks such as the China Construction Bank and the China Agriculture Bank. Meanwhile, more than 20 students will pursue graduate studies at reputable tier-one universities in China such as Nanjing University and Hunan University, as well as top international universities, including the Nanyang Technological University (Singapore), Boston University (U.S.), Leeds University (U.K.), and the Australian National University (Australia).  Congratulations, FSU-HUTB Class of 2022!
