HR Virginia Annual Conference

At the end of April, FSU SHRM advisor, Dr. Ken Levitt took several student chapter members to Richmond, Virginia, to attend the Human Resources Virginia Annual Conference. The conference provided a full line-up of relevant topics and breakout sessions for maximum credits, motivational keynote speakers, a marketplace with expert resources related to HR needs, and in-person networking and fun! The conference offered 51 sessions to choose from and the ability to earn up to 19 hours of SHRM and HRCI recertification credits.

We are grateful to Dr. Levitt for providing this enjoyable and educational experiential opportunity to his students!

FSU SHRM “Big Event”

The 2022 Big Event, held in early May, involved a high-impact presentation from Mr. Lyle Wolf regarding crisis management and how organizations and individuals can prepare themselves for crises in the future. Up until 2019, SHRM held its Big Event on a yearly basis with a guest speaker and reflective presentations about previous events they attended earlier during the year. Student leaders also invited recent alumni to attend and use the occasion to present their graduates with SHRM honor cords and announce officers for the following year.
