On April 5, 2023, members of the Business Programs Faculty Development Committee held a lunchtime Brown Bag workshop interdisciplinary teaching and learning.
Approaches to Active Learning
- The most enjoyable and reinforcing features of learning are experiencing the connections between different areas
- How are topics from different disciplines interconnected?
- How to synthesize knowledge from multiple disciplines to assure learning?
- How to employ multiple ways of knowing in problem-solving discussions?
Guest speakers, Dr. Amit Shah and Dr. Dong Wook Huh, shared their intellectual experiences and teaching techniques to promote integration in their classes and members from all four business departments very much enjoyed the event.
