In what has become an annual trip, about 35 students and their teachers from Southern and Northern High Schools traveled to Frostburg State University this year on March 8th to tour the main campus and learn more about both the University’s Business Programs: Accounting, Economics, Management, and Marketing and Finance as well as the Nursing Program and the new Education and Health Sciences Center. The tour featured several of the University’s instructional buildings, its campus housing options, food vendors, and athletic/extracurricular facilities. After the tour, the students had lunch in the Lane Center, sponsored by CBECMS. After lunch, those students who were interested in Business joined the Business Program Chairs for a presentation as well as an informal question and answer period. Students interested in Nursing toured the EHSC and met with Nursing faculty who showed them the state-of-the-art technology available to Nursing students. The students concluded their visit by visiting and learning about the Childrens' Literature Centre. Jason VanSickle, CBECMS Advisory Board Member and Vice Chair, helped organize the event and accompanied the students and their teachers to campus.
