The Child Care Career and Professional Development Fund

Are you an Early Childhood or Elementary Education major? Do you work in a childcare facility? Do you plan on working at a childcare facility while attending college? If you are currently working at a childcare facility as a level 2 assistant, you qualify as a CCCPDF recipient.
The Child Care Career and Professional Development Fund (CCCPDF) is a tuition assistance program for students who work in child care centers and are in college to obtain a degree in education at participating colleges/universities in Maryland. This funding is available for childcare providers who are seeking a college degree in the following areas:
- Early Childhood Education
- Child Development
- Elementary Education
- Special Education
The fund provides payments for you that are made directly to the college or university. Applications are submitted online using Maryland OneStop.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
CCCPDF applicants must meet the following requirements to receive funds (COMAR 13A.14.09):
- Participate in the Maryland Childcare Credential Program at Level Two or higher.
- Work in a licensed childcare center or be a registered family childcare provider in Maryland and work at least 10 hours per week
- Fulfill entrance requirements at the participating college of your choice
- Have at least one year of documented experience working with groups of children in an approved setting
- Maintain employment in an approved childcare facility in Maryland while participating in the Program • Participate in professional development
- Agree to complete the service requirement as a provider in an approved childcare facility in the State of Maryland for at least 10 hours per week after completing the degree.
- Maintain at least a 2.50 cumulative GPA from the point of first entering the Program
