The Frostburg State University Physician Assistant (PA) Program’s Class of 2025 achieved a 100% firsttime pass rate on the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (PANCE), surpassing the 92% national average. Yum Nguyen, Interim Assistant Dean in the College of Education and Health & Natural Sciences, called the accomplishment a testament to the dedication of the program’s faculty, staff and students, while Chair and Program Director Laurarose Dunn-O’Farrell, noted the results exceed program goals and reflect the cohort’s commitment to meeting rigorous standards for clinical practice. The PANCE is administered by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), which sets national certification standards for physician assistants.
