Tiffany Jewell Visits Maryland Accelerates Conference

New York Times' #1 Best Selling Author spoke at the Third Annual Maryland Accelerates National Leadership Conference on June 17, 2022, at Turf Valley Resort in Ellicott City, MD. Ms. Jewell spoke on her book "This Book is Anti-Racist” and the process of waking up, taking action, and doing the work of becoming antiracist. She also took time after the keynote session to sign the student's books in her signature pink sharpie.
The Maryland Accelerates Program is a grant program from the US Department of Education that funded to Frostburg State University's College of Education. The program allows students to obtain a master’s degree in Teaching within a 13-month program all while receiving a $2,500 living stipend.
This living stipend allows these students to be able to chase their dreams and change careers to become teachers. One of the many benefits for the students in this program is the opportunity to attend Frostburg State University's Annual Maryland Accelerates National Leadership Conference.
