Marisa B. Miller

Marisa Bowen Miller is a passionate and people-focused leader in talent acquisition and workforce development. As the Senior Talent Acquisition Recruiter and Community Engagement Liaison for Beitzel Corporation and Pillar Innovations, she leads recruitment efforts for both companies while building strong community partnerships across the region.

Marisa’s commitment to workforce development runs deep. She previously served as Director of Apprenticeships at Beitzel, where she expanded the program and secured grant funding to support onsite and hands-on training for new talent. Her efforts helped shape the company’s approach to growing its skilled workforce from within.

Today, Marisa continues to champion workforce development as a member of the Western Maryland Workforce Development Board of Directors, where she contributes to regional strategies that address talent pipelines, job training, and economic growth.

Before joining Beitzel and Pillar Innovations, Marisa gained broad experience in sales, marketing, event management, and recruiting, working across Baltimore, Washington, D.C., and Cumberland. Her ability to connect with people and adapt to various industries has been central to her success.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in mass communications focused on Marketing and Advertising and a master’s degree in teaching, both from Frostburg State University. She also completed the Event Management Program at George Washington University.

Born and raised in Cumberland, Marisa is deeply rooted in the community. She’s an Allegany High School alum and today lives in LaVale with her two daughters, Evie (12) and Harbor (11).
